"Tapes for Tot's"
Program
Hospitals can be scary places, and time can pass slowly in a hospital bed. The Institute for Hospital Art has developed an audio cassette program to help cheer and comfort young child patients.
The cassettes include songs and stories that relate to experiences children may have in the hospital in a humorous way.
There are three parts to the program.
1. A library of tapes is made available free to participating hospitals. These tapes are for children to share.
2. Tapes are given free to young child patients at participating hospitals.
3. Characters on tape (Gretchen, Bunny, Skunk & Bear) visit participating hospitals.
